Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Risk Manager to join our financial services client who are are based in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing credit risk within the organisation, ensuring that lending practices align with regulatory requirements and internal policies, you will be hands on and have experience working with credit scores and scorecards / scoring models.
Responsibilities
- You must have extensive financial services experience including development, credit scores, scorecards and validation.
- Design and implement predictive models such as Probability of Default to forecast customer behaviour.
- Develop and implement robust data modelling techniques to forecast credit risk exposure.
- Utilise quantitative analysis and statistical analysis to assess borrower creditworthiness.
- Collaborate with various departments to negotiate terms and conditions related to credit agreements.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the credit portfolio, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies regarding credit risk management.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff on best practices in risk assessment and management.
Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within the financial services sector, 10 years experience is essential
- Strong background in quantitative analysis and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in data modelling techniques and tools
- Proficient in Python, R , SQL or other programming languages
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Strong mathematical skills with attention to detail in analysing financial data.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects effectively.
- A degree in finance, data, economics or a related field is preferred.
- Experience of using Salesforce
